Thank you, Adrian! More than a critique, it is an expression of my concern and an invitation for reflection. I use humour to balance out charts. Another way to put it is, are we ready to follow Moore's law to its ultimate consequences? I never ask for anybody to slow down, but more like where we are going and if we will know what to do when we get there? I left out a section about Accelerationism (left & right flavours), the article felt already too long.

Three things that might deserve further reflection in future articles:

1. Making a real criticism of Capitalism, while I still agree with the private ownership of the means of production and the creation and distribution of goods and services for profit in a competitive market. Is the creation of smart toasters really a necessary part of the system? Are we really living in a Capitalist society, or are we way beyond that? I have seen techno feudalism popping up. That is going to be fun!

2. Comparing the approach to different cultures and economic systems, China is the second biggest investor in AI, right after the USA. Are they following Jevon's paradox too? Let's figure it out!

3. Is there a real dichotomy between the technologist and humanist? Is John Maeda correct by saying:

Technologist= I do, because I can.

Humanism= I do, becase I care.

Both are still doing stuff; they are not slowing down. My position is that we can be both.

In the context of the article, AI is a product. Smarter people than me can write articles about AI as a technology.
